EIP 20, also known as the ERC-20 token standard, is a set of rules and guidelines for creating fungible tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. The standard has become a cornerstone of the Ethereum ecosystem, enabling the creation of a wide range of digital assets. Other blockchain platforms, such as Binance Smart Chain, have adopted similar token standards. The ERC-721 standard is used for non-fungible tokens.
